From ancient runes to the stories and songs of Finnish immigrant women and their descendants, this poetry and music program centers on these voices singing to us of their experiences and truths.

PERFORMER
Diane Jarvi is a singer, songwriter, guitarist, kantele player and poet. She has studied at the Sibelius Academy, previously been named Finlandia Foundation Performer of the Year and has seven recordings in addition to six books of poetry under the name Diane Jarvenpa that all include explorations of her Finnish heritage.
