Tre Björnar plays folk music from Sweden, Norway, and Finland.

Renee, playing the nyckelharpa, the national folk instrument of Sweden, has the broadest reach, with many years of playing Swedish folk music, Norwegian and Finnish tunes.

Sarah, a fiddler on Norway’s national folk instrument, the hardingfele/Hardanger fiddle, has more recently branched out from Norwegian folk music to Swedish and Finnish tunes.

Kyle, a singer, songwriter, and guitarist, is known for his playing and singing of Finnish pop and folk music. Together they play folk music from these three traditions.

Tre Björnar (Three Bears) are three friends from the Twin Cities: Renee Vaughan, Sarah Pradt, and Kyle Gray Young. Each member represents a different Nordic country.
