Muuttoliike asks: What does migration mean to you? Migration can represent a journey, hardship, hope, a new start, etc. Art submissions will speak to the theme and reflect Finnish culture (whatever that means to you).

Submissions can highlight traditional craft like birchbark weaving, weaving, himmeli or can highlight more traditional art mediums such as painting or drawing. Chosen pieces will be displayed in a format will showcase the breadth of the Finnish/Finnish American/Sámi/Finnishanaabe artistic community. This tiny art show is FREE and OPEN TO THE PUBLIC in the Edmund Fitzerald Hall.

One artist will be selected to receive a People’s Choice Award during the Closing Reception, Sunday, August 3.
